Looks good to me. I would have used 3/4 EMT But I over kill any thing I make.

To hold up in the wind I would use at least 3/4" tubing.

I did something simular to that out of 3/4 PVC. The wind is killer on it. I only used it once. Yours looks stronger than the one I did.

I prolly woulda used EMT too, but should work for ya. PVC is too light IMO. - course I overbuild too.

I am in the process of making something very similar out of 3/4 EMT. I was worried about the wind with the 1/2".
