Baconnaise anybody?

I am thinking there needs to be a bacon section for this forum as it seems to come up a lot. Anyway this was brought to my attention. It is possible this has been posted before and I missed it.

http://www.baconnaise.com/

Enjoy,
Bryan

I am not sure about that stuff. I like real bacon and mayo added later...

Bryan, I had the owners of Bacon Salt (makers of Baconnaise) on the show a little while back and we discussed the product. They also sent me a sample jar...after you get over the initial "shock" of the name...it was actually a pretty good spread all things considered! If you can pick it up at a local store I suggest giving it a try!

I'm sure it is very tasty... I mean its bacon!!

Try this sometime...

slowly cook garlic in bacon drippings until soft-- do not fry
**sort of like garlic confit**
remove the garlic from the fat with a slotted spoon
mash in a small bowl
add a few spoons of mayo and mix
spread on whatever you like

I had a lady using her finger to get the last bit out of the bowl last time I made this.

I am sure I would love it. And John, thanks for the link, I figured this would not have gotten by this forum. I am going to look for it, I am thinking a baconaise salad dressing. Hmmm.
