I live at Ground Zero for NASCAR. I'm not a fan but understand the popularity. Most of my family members are HUGE NASCAR fans.

My boss is about to get into a big disagreement with some of Jr's relatives because he lives next to Jr's property and his relatives let their dogs run loose. They attacked a cat in the neighborhood and killed it. He doesn't blame it on the dogs but on Jr's relatives who are very irresponsible with their pets and apparantly think they're free to do anything because they're related to Jr.

I'm a HUGE Carolina Panthers fan as you may have guessed. Also love the Tar Heels.

Big nascar fans, use all the big races for reasons to do large cookouts, Bristol in 2 weeks will be a smokefest, brisket, pulled pork, fatties, etc.

I could shive a get less about NASCAR..my Daddy and 300 sixth graders say folks go to watch car races in hopes of seeing somebody get killt. Enough to make me not want to watch it. I just cant get excited about it for some reason. Now I done splained about not having any friends cept for NASCAR Chuck. I cant really see whut we have in common..but opposites often attract in the world of magnets anyway. Could be the same type old deal.

Well I work with folks..mostly yankees..who know all the drivers..even down to whut is the wifes name..how many kids etc. Even work with one who knows the driver's dawgs names. He is a big Greek from Rochester New Yawk. Whut is up with that? It sounds purty sick to me. Do a person pretend they are driving the car or something? Where do a person find the facinating aspects? I am standing by willing to learn about such thangs. Know they put me behind the wheel I could see some sense in it. Guess I aint a very good spectator less it comes to the wimmens bikini beach volleyball. Now I like to watch that kinda stuff. Is there something wrong with me?

What's NASCAR?

When I'm watching a race, I'm usually eating wings.

You truly are one of "them". Wow!

Hey Mike I'm a "Smoke" fan (for those of you who don't know that's Tony Stewart the bad boy of NASCAR), of course of Joe Gibbs Racing. I'm also a rabid Skins fan. The local BBQ Central gang came over last season for a "Redskins Game" get together at my house and we're planning on doing it again here in the next month or so. I will let you know when and hope you can make it over to join us! Bill the Grill Guy, Gary of Garys BBQ and Brian J. of Shenandoah Q Crew will be here along with some other folks.

Hey Greg don't feel bad. Last year was my very first year to watch and pay attention. I find it interesting now.

You have to pick a horse in the race to make it any fun. I picked my guy like most people pick their driver he's associated to something I like. Redskins. My Redskins Coach Gibbs owns a team so I went there and saw a rookie who drives for my Redskins Stadium sponsor Fed/Ex. He was also a Virginia boy and a Redskins fan. I picked #11 Fed/Ex Driver Denny Hamlin.

He wound up being Rookie of the Year last year and is 2nd place right now.

Everyday is Race Day!

Thanks for the replies folks
Good luck and safety to yer drivers, pit crews and teams

I thought I was the only one that noticed that I almost always miss the last 10 laps. I have to start putting the bones on a little earlier
