With it being cold out I thought something easy like Lasagna Rolls would be a good starter lesson. I sent him the grocery list to work from and this is what we put together. He even brought over a notepad to make sure he got it all down. 8)

The mixture was made of browned, ground turkey Itailan sausage, ricotta cheese, shreded parmesean cheese and spinach. I wish I had remembered to put the minced garlic in!  :x

Placed a dullop of mixture in the center of a partially cooked lasagna noodle cut in half and rolled.

Placed in baking dish, covered with favorite store bought spaghetti sauce, covered dish with foil and baked at 375* for 35 minutes.

Remove foil. Cover with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake another 15ish minutes.

Finish on broil until desired color on cheese.

Bake some garlic bread and plate with cottage cheese and IMO you got one heck of a meal. :D

Great lookin' meal. Nice of you to train your buddy. Kind of Johnny Trigg, Paul Peterson like, even had a note pad :D

Thanks bbquzz. I guess it was "kind of...like", but I'm no Johnny Trigg. I did think it was cool that he brought a note pad. 8) :) We'll see how he comes around.

That's one of those things, you either love it or you don't. No middle ground there![/quote:2tjwpjfe]

True. My wife on the other hand doesn't like it. Leaves more for me :) . And for some reason I've always got to have it when I'm having a meal with red sauce. I guess it's the contrast of the warm red sauce and the cold white cheese that I like the best. Yummy! :D

No thats a cheese I don't like! Hard to believe coming from a guiniea like me! My mom makes manicotti that EVERY body says is to die for .... I don't like them :(

have you tried ricotta? maybe your wife will like that

Ricotta is used in the mixture. She's okay with that. She just dosen't like using/eating cottage cheese.

Seems like on most Eyetalian recipes the cottage and ricotta seem fairly interchangeable. Whut would be the subtle nuances which could make one mo palatable than the other to the edumacated pallette? Thanks.

Cheers for teaching a friend, Shores. As for cottage cheese, i like it on fruit in the morning.

Thank you. It's good with salsa mixed in for an afternoon snack as well.
