Buying a Weber Kettle Rotisserie would be too easy and too expensive... so
A friend of mine bent and welded the midsection. I cut and trimmed the stainless steel rod to fit the motor and purchased the hooks locally.

I'll be cutting a slit for the rotisserie, make it easier to install and remove from the mid section.

The chicken was great. Next time I'll remove the water pan.

Works just fine, but I need a 181/2 Weber Kettle lid to fit better. Anyone want to get rid of one?? ;) ;)

Finally finished!

High temp cook. No waterpan or my claypot base. Full lit chimney of briquettes. 1/2 chimney unlit.

Great job! My craigslist Performer came with a Weber rotisserie and I've enjoyed doing chickens with it. Never occurred to me to put one on a WSM, but it sure works well.

Only kinda dead barnyard avian mo betta than hot and fast on the chicken blaster is one which has been rotessed. Preferebaly rotessed split down the middle and residing in a clamp basket. Fine job. Can't imagine a WSM dont come equipped with some screw holes where can mount a couple of rotess brackets. It just aint fair I tell ya. I guess they figger that most rational folks would use a rotess on a grill as opposed to a water smoker. Shows whut they know huh?
