UDS Weber Lid

My drum build post http://www.bbq-4-u.com/forum/viewtop...=242267#242267

Open top drum

Donor kettle. Cut off the flange and handle.

Oven gasket glued in place

Not a bad fit.

ECB grate holder.

Looks pretty good.

What did you use to cut the bottom of the kettle?

I am working on one too. Hope to post pics this week end.

I used an angle grinder with a thin cutting disk.

Thanks,
Never got around to cutting up the old kettle today. Had some painting and caulking to do in the main bathroom. Got to keep the little miss happy. Maybe tomorrow I can get round toit

We got ours cut up. Still looking for a permanent way to mount the "ring" to the drum. As of now it is just sitting on top. Used aluminum foil to fill the gap. I have been looking at Oven Gasket. Maybe payday..... or maybe after the aluminum foil wears out.
