Used parts for a Primo and a Weber, new felt seal from the hardware store and what do you know. It works. Got a brisket in both Einstein and the new-old cooker. Both holding great at 250*

Einstein is the woodstand, the Imperial (circa 1960?) is to the right.

Nice job! I love the K's! What Weber parts did you use? I've refurbished 3 Earthenware Kamados and my pride n' joy is the Modern style Large Imperial Kamado. My BIL picked up one but the firebox disintegrated beyond repair.

I used a Primo firebox which was mission the ash grate so I used an charcoal grate from a Smokey Joe and bought a new 18" Weber food grate for Lowes. It holds it own with Einstein, maybe just a tad slower warming up to smoking temps.
