I bought this nonworking compressor today:

I would like to rip out the compressor engine, fuel tank, air cleaner, etc, and install a grill inside of this trailer. I will try to keep the top and the covers, as this would keep it tidy, keep heat inside, offer some rain protection, etc.

Ideally I would like to install a pig sized rotisserie in it also.

Before I venture ahead on this, I wanted to get some words of wisdom on things to avoid, etc.

Thanks!

Fifty bucks? You will make close to that in scrap after you gut it out. Cool you got a spare tire and rim on the deal too. Looking forward to your progress.

Thanks! Would you recommend any website that explains what sort of grates, coal trays and such I would need to build.

Also for the main area holding coals, what sort of material is best? 1/4" steel plate you would think?

Thanks. What about the tray that holds coals? Will 10 gauge metal hold up to burning coals, rusting etc?
